In case you live in America (ie, you have no knowledge of other country’s cultures), a Sitar is a plucked stringed instrument, predominantly used in Hindustani classical music – where it has been ubiquitous since the Middle Ages – and Beatles albums, you know, when they went off rails, smoked a lot of pot and grew moustaches.

It’s a genius marketing ploy, really. The sitar is primarily used in developing countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. These countries are hugely populated and just starting to get access to disposable incomes and Sony Playstations, so targeting games at these newly flush countries is very smart.

Or I’m just a cynical asshole.
